"Alive or dead, the truth won't rest. My name is Georgia Mason, and I am begging you. Rise up while you can."
The year was 2014. We had cured cancer. We had beat the common cold. But in doing so we created something new, something terrible that no one could stop. The infection spread, virus blocks taking over bodies and minds with one, unstoppable command: FEED.
NOW, twenty years after the Rising, Georgia and Shaun Mason are on the trail of the biggest story of their lives-the dark conspiracy behind the infected. The truth will out, even if it kills them.
The Newsflesh trilogy boxed set includes Feed, Deadline, and Blackout.

I found this to be a terrific "sequel" to other Mira Grant books I've read. I think you can spot the similarities between different series but still find it an enjoyable and new twist on the general premise of a zombie plague.

This trilogy has taken over my life and I regret none of it. Mira Grant is a God. Everyone needs to read Newsflesh. <3

  • By Natalie Bradshaw on 30 May 2014

I picked this up expecting a fun brainless zombie chase book - instead found a surprisingly thoughtful set of novels about politics, relationships, dysfunctional families, trust and love. That happens to be set in a post-zombie apocalypse.Highly recommended, read it before you Rise....

These books contain huge swathes of inner monologue and exposition for self explanatory situations. The underlying principles and story are in and of themselves quite good but all three books just as easily could have and would have been better as just one good book, the slog continues...
